Everything Avocado Toast

This everything avocado toast is a fancy take on what has become a staple on most any vegan menu. It combines creamy avocado with a touch of lime juice, and then it’s topped with hemp seeds, everything seasoning and a drizzle of olive oil. It’s crunchy, full of magical flavors and tastes heavenly. And it’s perfect for a quick breakfast or healthy snack. You don’t want to miss this quick, easy and delicious avocado toast recipe. It is a favorite in my family.

Some time ago, I went to a cafe and ordered a scrambled tofu sandwich with avocado and a hint of lime. Upon taking a first bite, I realized that avocado alone can be great on toast with simple added flavors. Later, I made a test with hemp seeds, everything seasoning and olive oil. It came out perfect! We do not need to add anything else to this recipe, beyond perhaps a cup of tea or coffee.

The first time I tried everything avocado toast was during a Sunday football game. My husband and I fell in love with this perfect combination of toppings on a simple avocado toast. Now I make this avocado toast almost every day. My mornings feel incomplete without it. Sometimes the simplest things in the world are complete and satisfying.

Sourdough is my bread of choice for this recipe, as it complements the other flavors. But please use gluten-free bread to make this recipe gluten-free if needed. Since everything seasoning already includes salt, it’s not necessary to add additional salt, though your mileage may vary. Feel free to add salt as your taste desires.

Everything avocado toast adds everything seasoning to this staple vegan dish. It’s crunchy, full of magical flavors and tastes heavenly.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ Avocado medium-size
  • ¼ tsp Lime Juice
  • 1 slice Sourdough Bread medium-size
  • a sprinkle Black Pepper or to taste
  • ¼ tsp Hemp Seeds
  • ½ tsp Everything Seasoning
  • a sprinkle Red Pepper Flakes optional
  • a drizzle Olive Oil

Instructions
 

  • In a small mixing bowl, add avocado and lime juice. Mash and set aside.
  • Toast bread until golden brown and crispy. Spread avocado mash on toast. Top with black pepper, hemp seeds, everything seasoning, and red pepper flakes (optional).
  • Drizzle olive oil and serve while warm.

Notes

Use gluten-free bread to make this recipe gluten-free. 
Everything seasoning already contains salt. Adjust salt to your taste, if desired.
