Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl

This strawberry banana smoothie bowl is perfect for breakfast, lunch or dessert. It’s healthy, vegan and delicious. You can either use frozen fruits or buy fresh and freeze them overnight. It’s a simple and easy recipe. I’ve listed a few of my favorite garnishes below, which are banana, berries, granola, coconut flakes, nuts, seeds, etc. But feel free to garnish with your own choices!

My husband and I were traveling in Canada when we decided to try a smoothie bar one day for breakfast. We ordered a smoothie bowl from the menu, a concept that was new to me. I was fascinated by the idea and later attempted several versions which were sometimes too thin, sometimes too sweet, or somehow just did not feel right. Recently, however, I came up with this simple recipe that uses just three ingredients, and I loved it. I now make it frequently and enjoy this quick breakfast after workouts.

This smoothie bowl recipe cannot go wrong. Sometimes I add protein powder and it still tastes delicious.
