Coconut Turmeric Rice

This coconut turmeric rice is an aromatic alternative to plain white rice. It offers subtle hints of coconut and turmeric.

- 2 cups Water
- 1 cup Jasmine or Basmati Rice washed
- 2 tsp Coconut Oil
- ½ tsp Mustard Seeds optional
- ¼ tsp Turmeric
- ¼ tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
Bring water to boil in a medium-size deep pot. Add rice, coconut oil, mustard seeds (optional), turmeric, black pepper and salt. Mix together.
Reduce heat to low-medium and let simmer until water dissolves, about 7 to 10 minutes.
Garnish and serve hot!
